라오스 비엔티안 공항 셔틀버스 소식

라오스 비엔티안에 도착하는 여행자에게 좋은 소식이 있어요.

2018년 1월 18일부터 비엔티안 공항 셔틀버스 서비스가 운용되고 있어요. 공항의 첫 버스는 오전 9시에 출발하고 막차는 저녁 22:20에 출발해요. 공항으로 가는 버스는 오전 8:05, CBS(Central Bus Station)에서 출발하고 막차의 출발 시간은 저녁 21:35이에요. 더 일찍, 혹은 더 늦게 필요하다면, 어쩔 수 없이 택시나 툭툭을 타야죠. 버스는 아주 편하고 무료 와이파이가 잘 돼요. 요금은 부담 없는15,000킵(kip)이에요. 참고로, 제가 저녁 11시 이후에 공항에 도착해서 택시를 탔는데, 57,000 킵을 냈어요. 비엔티엔에 있는 왓따이 국제공항(Wattay International Airport)에서 도착 구역 바로 나가기 전에 왼쪽의 작은 계산대에 직원이 있는데 거기서 환전을 하고 시내로 가는 택시를 57,000킵에 잡을 수 있어요. 공항에서 나와서 혼자서 택시를 잡으면 얼마를 내야 할지 모르겠지만, 좀 더 비쌀 것 같아요. 가기 전에 미리 숙소에 택시 요금이 보통 얼마나 나오는지 물어보면 공정가격인지 더 쉽게 알 수 있어요.

Airport Shuttle Bus from Vientiane, Laos 

There’s good news for travellers arriving in Vientiane, Laos. As of Jan. 18, 2018, there is an airport shuttle bus running from Wattay International Airport. The first bus leaves the airport at 9 a.m., with the last bus departing at 10:20 p.m. The first airport bound bus leaves the central bus station (CBS) at 8:05 a.m., with the last bus leaving at 9:35 p.m. If you need transportation to/from the airport earlier or later than these times, then you will have no choice but to take a taxi or tuk tuk. The airport shuttle bus is very comfortable and it has free wifi. The fare is just 15,000 kip. I arrived after 11 p.m. and took a taxi to the city center for 57,000 kip. Right before you exit the arrivals area at Wattay International Airport, there is a worker at counter who can exchange US dollars to kip for you, or can give you a ticket for a taxi to the center for 57,000 kip. I’m not certain, but if you exit the airport and get a taxi on your own, it will probably be more expensive than this. It’s a good idea to ask your hotel how much the taxi fare from the airport should be, so that you will have a better idea if the cost is fair or not.
